Project Overview
We set out to create distinct logos for our Customer’s 2 internal offices: DYNO and TEO — while ensuring a cohesive brand identity that ties them together.
Challenge
The goal was to create identities that:
- Represented each office’s unique vibe while visually connecting them to the Company’s identity.
- Used a clean, modern style in line with Alighieri’s aesthetic.
- Integrated a subtle visual reference with Alighieri’s main logo.

Design Process


1. Early Concepts and Evolution
- We initially explored geometric and origami-inspired designs using straight lines and sharp angles. This approach aimed to reflect the double slash (//) through a structured, angular look, making the logos visually interesting.
- Since the animal icons would be proportionally reduced within the logo concept, the complex details became hard to appreciate. To ensure clarity and impact, we pivoted to a more minimalist style. This allowed the models to stay visually strong, practical, and cohesive with Alighieri’s branding.
2. Integrating the Double Slash
A small but meaningful detail in each logo is the double slash (//), subtly reflected in the angled position of the animals’ legs. This ties DYNO and TEO to Alighieri’s core branding while giving each logo a unique stance, symbolizing movement and strength.
3. Selecting the Colour Palette
We tested various colour palettes, each capturing the essence of DYNO and TEO:
- DYNO: Vibrant colours to represent adaptability and a forward-thinking, tech-driven approach.
- TEO: Cooler shades to show reliability and precision, fitting the testing purpose.
After trying several combinations, we chose the palettes that best suited each department’s identity and maintained visual harmony across mediums.


4. From Sketch to Final Design
The designs began as pencil sketches. DYNO’s dinosaur was the first to take shape, built with circles and lines to keep it symmetrical. Once finished, we adapted the same principles to create TEO’s elephant, giving both logos a unified, balanced look.
Final Results
- DYNO Logo: A clean, powerful dinosaur design that symbolizes adaptability and strength, fitting for the Dynamics 365 focus.
- TEO Logo: A minimalist elephant that reflects memory and careful attention, fitting the testing focus.


Impact
The DYNO and TEO now have an identity with a professional, distinct logo that visually ties back to Alighieri. Feedback from the users is positive, with the designs adding a cohesive and polished look to Alighieri’s branding materials.
